I was struck by an uninsured driver on 02-10-11. Because the driver who struck me was uninsured I was forced to file a claim with my insurance company(Omni Insurance). The car was towed to CJ's collision at 6128 n beechwood Philadelphia, pa ,19138 on 02-11-11. Phone number 215-848-2836. On 02-14-11 Omni insurance sent out an appraiser to evaluate the vehicle. They then faxed an estimate on 02-15-11 totaling $5300 to CJ's collision shop. I went to the collision shop on 02-15-11 to sign paperwork giving them permission to work on my car. They then began the repairs. On 02-18-11 the insurance company then deemed my car a total loss. The vehicle is a 2005 Nissan Altima SL with 96,477 miles. The NADA value for the vehicle is 10,995. According to Omni insurance a car is deemed a total loss when the repairs reach 70% of the value of the vehicle. Omni insurance valued my car at 7,415. They then proposed a settlement offer of 5826.40. They deducted 975.00 in prior damages(which I disagree with) and 1000.00 my deductible. The settlement offer included 386.40 in sales tax. After negotiating on 02-28-11 they proposed an offer of 7835.30. The value they gave my car was 9255. Again 975.00 was deducted and my 1000.00 deductible. They including sales tax and tags/registration fee in the offer. I accepted the offer out of desperation because they also stopped paying for the rental car I was driving on 02-28-11. I work, attend school and have a child my schedule requires that I have a car so I paid out of pocket for a rental car until 03-07-11, expecting the payment to be issued to my lien holder by then so I could purchase another car. I contacted them on 03-07-11 inquiring about my payment and was informed they did not pick the vehicle up from the collision shop therefore they were not issuing a payment. The collision shop gave them a bill of 1750.00 for the repairs they did and the storage fees. The insurance company disagrees with this and refuses to pick the vehicle up and issue my payment. They have also stated this may come out of my settlement offer. The insurance company already has the title to the car and all the necessary paperwork to the vehicle but refuses to issue a payment. It has been a month since I filed my claim and I can no longer afford to pay for a rental especially since it seems I will have to purchase a new vehicle. The insurance company is low balling me and also forcing me to pay for repairs they approved then backed out of.

So he is saying that for the first 160 hours I work free because training is not paid. And then its also a temp job. I thought after 160 free hours, he will just say "its temp job so its over now" and take a lot of work. I refused the offer.

With 'very good' grades, good SAT, and lots of random activities, you're an average applicant at best. NYU is a bit easier to get into, but not a lot easier.

Advice for dealing with very difficult family member please?

Hi my husband and I are having a difficult time with his aunt age 74 ( she is actually his second cousin but she likes to be called his aunt and expects our baby daughter to call her grandma). She is a difficult customer because she is as sweet as pie one minute and then can turn on you. She was widowed last July and we were with her and her husband every step of the way throughout the long and painful battle with cancer putting our own lives on hold and trying to juggle jobs, a 9 month old baby and my spinal disability. My husband has always been very close to this lady. She and her husband are very wealthy and have helped us out financially. However, she refused outside help during her husband's illness and now her mother age 96 needs assistance again she refuses outside help and lays the burden on us and on my husband's mother by playing the victim card. We have always visited them kept them company etc dedicated our spare time to them and even more so since the death of the uncle. She expects us to be omni-present not taking into consideration our own lives at all and if we dont do what she wants there is a barrage of subtle emotional blackmail. It is getting too much we have spoken to her and she negates everything saying that she never interferes and that we are selfish like the rest of our generation and then it's waterworks and she backs off a little. the problem is when you do what she likes or agree with what she says she is genuinely lovely. How can we diplomatically but firmly deal with this situation: my husband and I both agree that it is way over the top. She is independently wealthy but doesnt see why she should have strangers in the house when the family could and should help. Any sensible advice graetly appreciated. Thanks

Most of the recent college grads cannot find job and those who do get job offers, discover that the rate being offered is ridiculously low. For example, I graduated with bachelor of science in mathematics back in 2008. For many many months there was no job that I could find. Then I gave up hunting for job and instead decided to pursue master's in math. When I heard news by the phony Obama circle that "job market is picking up", I started to apply for job. Then I finally got a full time job offer as "energy analyst". I then discovered I am being offered 13.50 an hour only. That is ridiculously low job offer for someone having bachelors in math, computer science, engineering or physics. People make that without any degree working as cashier in store. I questioned why 13.50 an hour only and the recruiter said in an apologetic tone, "this is all we can offer. times are tough". After some more conversation I discovered that it is a "temp" job. Then after some more conversation I discovered that there are no benefits being offered. Then after some more conversation I also discovered that, "training will not be paid. first 4 weeks is training". So he is saying that for the first 160 hours I work free because training is not paid. And then its also a temp job. I thought after 160 free hours, he will just say "its temp job so its over now" and take a lot of work. I refused the offer.

I was struck by an uninsured driver on 02-10-11. Because the driver who struck me was uninsured I was forced to file a claim with my insurance company(Omni Insurance). The car was towed to CJ's collision at 6128 n beechwood Philadelphia, pa ,19138 on 02-11-11. Phone number 215-848-2836. On 02-14-11 Omni insurance sent out an appraiser to evaluate the vehicle. They then faxed an estimate on 02-15-11 totaling $5300 to CJ's collision shop. I went to the collision shop on 02-15-11 to sign paperwork giving them permission to work on my car. They then began the repairs. On 02-18-11 the insurance company then deemed my car a total loss. The vehicle is a 2005 Nissan Altima SL with 96,477 miles. The NADA value for the vehicle is 10,995. According to Omni insurance a car is deemed a total loss when the repairs reach 70% of the value of the vehicle. Omni insurance valued my car at 7,415. They then proposed a settlement offer of 5826.40. They deducted 975.00 in prior damages(which I disagree with) and 1000.00 my deductible. The settlement offer included 386.40 in sales tax. After negotiating on 02-28-11 they proposed an offer of 7835.30. The value they gave my car was 9255. Again 975.00 was deducted and my 1000.00 deductible. They including sales tax and tags/registration fee in the offer. I accepted the offer out of desperation because they also stopped paying for the rental car I was driving on 02-28-11. I work, attend school and have a child my schedule requires that I have a car so I paid out of pocket for a rental car until 03-07-11, expecting the payment to be issued to my lien holder by then so I could purchase another car. I contacted them on 03-07-11 inquiring about my payment and was informed they did not pick the vehicle up from the collision shop therefore they were not issuing a payment. The collision shop gave them a bill of 1750.00 for the repairs they did and the storage fees. The insurance company disagrees with this and refuses to pick the vehicle up and issue my payment. They have also stated this may come out of my settlement offer. The insurance company already has the title to the car and all the necessary paperwork to the vehicle but refuses to issue a payment. It has been a month since I filed my claim and I can no longer afford to pay for a rental especially since it seems I will have to purchase a new vehicle. The insurance company is low balling me and also forcing me to pay for repairs they approved then backed out of.

Why do i get no sound from Traktor Pro?

I have recently bought Traktor Pro and am using a Numark omni touch mixer. They both worked perfectly then i turned my PC off and re booted it this morning to find Traktor works (plays music) but you cant hear the sound, you can only see the music playing through on the screen. All other windows sounds work on my pc and i can play music on media player perfectly, its just traktor which is the problem.... Any ideas?

You most likely wont be able to get all of your money back. Add up the costs of all the mods and take 20% of that and add it too the kbb value. Thats what I would see as a realistic asking price. You could probably get more selling all of the mods individually but it will take a tremendous amount of time and a lot of work to replace all the engine mods with stock parts. It wouldnt be worth it in my opinion, but if youve got a lot of time to spare it might be.

DODGE OMNI: parts switch question?

I was wondering... is it possible that I could switch out the steering colum from a 1990 Dodge Omni and put it in a 1985 Omni? Would the airbag in the 1990 column (now in the 1985 Omni) be functional? Becuase that's the only thing really holding me back from getting one besides finding one without too much rust. And please don't hate on the Omni, I know it's old and generally viewed as unattractive, but it's a family heirloom and I just want it to be safe to drive (not that it's not already...). Plus, as a bonus, it gets great gas milage.

Your GPA isn't that low, but with my experience I've seen random kids get rejected for absolutely no reason and then others get accepted. I would take as many AP classes next year (don't get too stressed though) and just basically hope for the best. My insurance company doesnt want to pay!!?

I was struck by an uninsured driver on 02-10-11. Because the driver who struck me was uninsured I was forced to file a claim with my insurance company(Omni Insurance). The car was towed to CJ's collision at 6128 n beechwood Philadelphia, pa ,19138 on 02-11-11. Phone number 215-848-2836. On 02-14-11 Omni insurance sent out an appraiser to evaluate the vehicle. They then faxed an estimate on 02-15-11 totaling $5300 to CJ's collision shop. I went to the collision shop on 02-15-11 to sign paperwork giving them permission to work on my car. They then began the repairs. On 02-18-11 the insurance company then deemed my car a total loss. The vehicle is a 2005 Nissan Altima SL with 96,477 miles. The NADA value for the vehicle is 10,995. According to Omni insurance a car is deemed a total loss when the repairs reach 70% of the value of the vehicle. Omni insurance valued my car at 7,415. They then proposed a settlement offer of 5826.40. They deducted 975.00 in prior damages(which I disagree with) and 1000.00 my deductible. The settlement offer included 386.40 in sales tax. After negotiating on 02-28-11 they proposed an offer of 7835.30. The value they gave my car was 9255. Again 975.00 was deducted and my 1000.00 deductible. They including sales tax and tags/registration fee in the offer. I accepted the offer out of desperation because they also stopped paying for the rental car I was driving on 02-28-11. I work, attend school and have a child my schedule requires that I have a car so I paid out of pocket for a rental car until 03-07-11, expecting the payment to be issued to my lien holder by then so I could purchase another car. I contacted them on 03-07-11 inquiring about my payment and was informed they did not pick the vehicle up from the collision shop therefore they were not issuing a payment. The collision shop gave them a bill of 1750.00 for the repairs they did and the storage fees. The insurance company disagrees with this and refuses to pick the vehicle up and issue my payment. They have also stated this may come out of my settlement offer. The insurance company already has the title to the car and all the necessary paperwork to the vehicle but refuses to issue a payment. It has been a month since I filed my claim and I can no longer afford to pay for a rental especially since it seems I will have to purchase a new vehicle. The insurance company is low balling me and also forcing me to pay for repairs they approved then backed out of.

I will be taking the California NCLEX in about a month from now. I passed my Philippine Nursing Licensure Examination back in June 2009. I've been having a hard time trying to apply for NCLEX, that's why it took me this long to finally get my ATT. After scanning through the 2011 NCLEX Examination Candidate Bulletin (haven't had the time to read through yet due to work & studying), my anxiety levels have increased. I have no problems at all with multiple choice questions, but I'm getting worried about the other possible test types. Upgrading the dir-855 router?

Firstly, a firmware upgrade is most likely not going to solve your range problem. Secondly, unless the router has detachable antennae (which most new low end routers don't), you won't be connecting a high gain antenna to it. As far as distance, if you really want to reach out and touch someone, you could spend a small fortune on a bi-linear wifi amplifier (get out the charge card because it aint cheap). That also still requires a router with detachable antennae.
