Dont you think death by bear is a bit harsh on kids calling someone a slaphead?

The problem with you people is that time and again you fail to realize that God can read peoples' hearts. He knows what's inside, whereas we can at best, only know the outer appearances of humans. We can try our best to read people based on body language and handwriting analysis, but that is not 100% accurate and some people are really good at concealing who they really are. We are severely limited and shortsighted. We rely heavily on our senses in order to reach a conclusion. Our emotions often get in the way of the truth. Focusing on the fact that they were kids can make us twist justice. It happens all the time. But, thankfully, God is omniscient. He considers all angles because he can see all angles. He is a loving, fair, just God. Good thing he is the final Judge, and not one of us mere humans.
