Is academic success in an undergraduate degree predictive of career success in the field of psychology?

Academic success looks good on a resume, but you don't want a career you'll find dry and boring. Doing something you like and have a talent for is more important, particularly if you're excited about it and find yourself coming up with fresh ideas.
